Hello From Cheryl

Welcome to The Station Burger Company Family.
What started as a dream amongst friends in a kitchen became a reality in 2010. The Station Burger Company began with one goal in mind; to serve the highest quality food, while honoring the men and women who help keep us safe every day. When our guests walk through the doors, they’ll be surrounded by local heroes both past and present, either in the photos that adorn the walls, or at the table seated next to them.
At The Station, our guests will love the freshly made burgers, exceptional customer service and friendly atmosphere. Because the people on the walls are who come to your rescue; at some point in your life, you’ll need to thank a first responder. We decided to do it every day. We opened the Eddyville location November 2015.

Total Eclipse of the Sun Program Addressed
Total Eclipse of the Sun, August 21, 2017
Making Our Plans Now!
On August 21, 2017, millions of people across the United States will see nature’s most wondrous spectacle — a total eclipse of the Sun. It is a scene of unimaginable beauty; the Moon completely blocks the Sun, daytime becomes a deep twilight, and the Sun’s corona shimmers in the darkened sky.
On Wednesday, May 4th, I attended the Lake Barkley Tourism meeting regarding the Eclipse. There were several from Hopkinsville who are really on top of this. The mayor, Carter Hendricks was there as well as others. Several from our community were there also, the mayor of Eddyville, County Judge Executive, law enforcement and EMT representatives. Items discussed: Hotels/Motels should allow reservations for a 3 night minimum, street lights should be addressed with the public utilities so they do not come on. EMT service needs to be increased, as well as law enforcement. Schools should probably be closed with the possibility of school buses being used to move people around. Anyone wanting to “rent” out a spot needs to be certified and insured. Eddy Creek Marina is already booked for this event. They are expecting at least 50,000 people in this area. Steps need to be taken now to be prepared. One can learn all they want about the physics of this Eclipse by visiting www.greatamericaneclipse.com.
What we must do as a community is prepare for the mass of Eclipse Chasers and other interested individuals who will surely travel to our area to view this once in a lifetime event.
Our June Lunch and Learn will be presented by OnTimeADZ.com with Daniel Thompson giving tips on using technology to reach more customers. Also, on hand will be Penny Fletcher giving tips for small businesses. Please RSVP by calling the office at 270-388-4769 or e-mail: www.lakebarkleychamber.com
